Monthly Bulletin: August 2019

Grand Knight's Message

As we start a new Fraternal Year, I have spent some time reflecting on the past year and what we've done - and what more we can do. I am proud of our Brother Knights who have done so much this past year, as they always do. And I look forward to some new functions this year. As I read through the draft copy of this month's bulletin, I was struck by all the wonderful activities we have lined up. Family BBQ, Copper Horseshoe Tournament, Softball Challenge, upcoming new fund-raisers, bingo. It made me think of a comment recently from a Brother Knight, saying that we (council 5209) just don't do much. Well, I have to say that's clearly not the case. We're doing a lot. But are you, as a Brother Knight, being a part of it? If not, it's time to jump in! We need more involvement - it just makes what we're already doing that much more fun. And with more involvement, we can do even more. Your ideas are needed and wanted. Come join us this month - I think we have something for everybody.

Vivat Jesus!

Mark Hoelzeman, G.K.
