Monthly Bulletin: June 2019

Grand Knight's Message

Brother Knights as we come near the close of another Fraternal Year, I want to thank everyone for all their hard work this past year. We’ve accomplished many good things and helped a lot of people with our programs and events. We have added nine new members this year and the future is bright. You should be proud to be a Brother Knight and a member of council 5209 – I know I am, and that’s thanks to all of you.

At the May meeting the membership approved a "budget" of sorts, and a list of approved expenditures. A big thanks to the officers for their work on this and to the membership for their careful consideration, discussion, and approval. The details are included later in this bulletin.

We have one more, most important task ahead of us before we close out the Fraternal Year. Yes, it is time for council 5209 to join together and DEFEAT our Brother Knights from St. Vincent council 10908 in the big SOFTBALL GAME re-match!!! We've waited two years to get revenge – so let's make it happen. The big game will be at 2:00pm on Sunday, June 23 at the church ballfield at St. Mary Church at St. Vincent. We need players, but even more than that let's everyone come out and enjoy the event. The guys at St. Vincent put on a great show. There will be hot dogs available, but bring your own drinks. Call or text me if you'd like to play so I can keep you in the loop on details (501) 977-4585. Play Ball!

That's it for this month.

Vivat Jesus!

Mark Hoelzeman, G.K.
