January Knight of the Month
Rich is our Deputy Grand Knight/Program Director and has done a great job, bringing some great new ideas, including the ongoing "Live Free for a Month" raffle. Rich and his wife, Natalie, provided wonderful music for the Deceased Members Mass in November. Rich also was instrumental in our first venture into bingo at the Conway County Fair in September. Congratulations, Rich!
January Family of the Month
Paul & Betty McCabe Family
Paul is a Trustee and Past Grand Knight, and also is our Faith Director. Paul is very active in most council activities, helping out with catering events, hall maintenance, Monday Night Bingo concessions, Family Breakfasts, Living Rosary, Deceased Members Mass, and the list goes on and on. And Betty is right there with him helping at many of these events - sometimes behind the scenes. Thanks, Paul and Betty!

Grand Knight's Message
I hope you and your families had a wonderful Christmas and are off to a great start to the New Year. I apologize that we failed to get a bulletin out last month, and this month's is a little late. There's a lot going on so please make note.
We will have a First Degree Exemplification at our regular meeting on Tuesday, January 14. This will be the last First Degree in the old format, as Supreme is changing the format drastically going forward. In the future, candidates will receive First, Second and Third degrees in one ceremony that will be rather short, and open to family and friends. So if you'd like to witness the old First Degree one more time, this is your chance! It would be nice to have a big crowd of Brother Knights in attendance to welcome our new Brothers. Degree work will begin at 7:00pm. We will have a meal before the meeting but there will be no rosary this month.
There are a lot of Pro-Life activities available on the weekend of January 18-19. The March for Life sponsored by Arkansas Right to Life will be at 2:00pm as usual on Sunday, January 19. Staging begins at 1:30pm between Battery and Wolfe Streets and process to the front Capitol steps. The keynote speaker will be Ryan Bomberger, founder of the Radiance Foundation. Prior to the March, there will be a Eucharistic Procession for Life at 10:00am, beginning at the plaza in front of the Doubletree Hotel, processing through Riverfront Park to the Statehouse Convention Center. There will be a Rosary for Life at 11:30am, followed by the Mass for Life at noon at the Statehouse Convention Center. If you are interested in attending some or all of these events, please contact me at (501) 977-4585, as we are considering arranging a bus if we have enough interest.
The last item I want to address in my report is our annual Knights of Columbus banquet. This year's banquet is scheduled for Sunday, March 1 at 5:00pm. There will be more details next month, but we'll have a special evening planned with a great meal, guest speaker, and recognition for all the work we all do throughout the year. Please plan to attend - there will be no charge for Brother Knights and a guest, but we will need reservations by February 23. Call or text me at (501) 977-4585 or email email@example.com.
Vivat Jesus! Mark Hoelzeman Grand Knight
